SpecPage opens branch in the United States

Merlischachen-Küssnacht (Switzerland), April 8, 2015. SpecPage, a global software company, has opened a branch in Chicago (Illinois), the United States and extended its team with Mike Chapter as Business Consultant.

The provider of customised software solutions for the food and beverage industry (F&B) is a rapidly growing Swiss company, with subsidiaries in Frankfurt (Germany), Nantes (France) and Bratislava (Slovakia), and recently opened an office in Gouda (Netherlands). SpecPage is set to expand its activities in the US, meeting the growing demand in the range of specification and recipe management for the F&B industry.

The new US office enables SpecPage to offer locally based customers such as Glanbia Nutritionals, Nestlé Wagner, Campbell Soup and Dr. Oetker, even more direct and personal support, and to further establish itself as a technology partner which sets standards in the F&B industry.

“Food and beverage manufacturing is highly complex in nature and requires a centralised management tool to boost efficient production and ensure company success. We are well positioned to meet the increasing demand in this sector, providing integrated software solutions tailored to our customers’ specific needs”, said Severin Weiss, CEO SpecPage. “We offer industry-leading products and our new office in the US allows us to further enhance our personalised services for existing and potential customers in this market.”

As part of opening a subsidiary in Chicago, SpecPage also extended its team with Mike Chapter, Business Consultant. Chapter is responsible for the business and customer support in the US. He is a seasoned culinary and business professional with more than 15 years of experience in the food industry, including consumer packaged goods, project management, hospitality management and culinary training. Chapter has previously worked with large food and ingredient manufacturers in the US before joining SpecPage.

“I am very excited to be working with SpecPage as the company expands in the US,” said Mike Chapter, Business Consultant, SpecPage, “because the products we offer are more than just software. The customised technology solutions can help food manufacturers to be more efficient and reduce time to market, by streamlining the product development process, consolidating regulatory and quality information, and keeping recipes and formulations standardised.”
